NEW YEAR'S EVE WITH

NICO LAZARIDI MAGIC MOUNTAIN GREECE'S ICONIC WINE

2013 is only a couple of days away and what a better chance to celebrate new year's eve with Nico Lazaridi Magic Mountain, undoubtedly Greece's one - and - only "iconic" wine !

 

Chateau Nico Lazaridi celebrates this year its 25th anniversary and the Magic Mountain's available vintage is 2007 which has been proven a very good year in the Chateau birthplace, the region of Drama in Northeastern Macedonia.

 

The Red MAGIC MOUNTAIN (Protected Geographical Indication Drama) is a blend of  Cabernet Sauvignon & Cabernet Franc, carefully cultivated in the estate's privately owned vineyards in Agora, Pigadia & Adriani villages of linear planting & north to south orientation. Vineyards gently sloping, with sandy-clay soils of average composition.

After the harvest in late September the grapes are vinified under the  classic red wine vinification with a long extraction method, followed by 16-18 months on in new French oak barrels plus 18 months in the bottles always in excellent cellarage conditions.
Magic Mountain has an intense deep red color, rich palate with aromas reminiscent of red forest fruits in a perfect combination of spices, which blend with the aromas of the barrel. A noble wine with rich character and delicious complexity, ripe tannic, dense and complete.
Magic Mountain will respond well to aging for up to 10-15 years after the harvest.
Served at around 18oC it is ideal with red meat dishes in intricate sauces, game birds and other game meat and mature cheeses.
