Meth' imon 7 by Dougos Winery...Greece's Châteauneuf-du-Pape

Dougos Winery is located in the central Greece nearby the slopes of mount Olympus at the Tembi Valley right off the main road from Thessaloniki to Athens.

Dougos family - Dimitris, Thanos &  Louiza -  is dedicated for many years in the viticulture & wine production of some of the finest Greek wines ever.

One of the winery's top wines - and the favorite of "yours trully" -  is Meth'Imon 7  since it is a unique blend of seven - both indigenous & international grape varieties - ( Cabernet Sauvignon - Syrah - Grenache - Merlot - Limniona - Batiki -  Cabernet Franc ) which have been harmoniously adapted in the family's privately owned vineyads.

It is no coincidence that Dougos Meth' Imon 7   has been awarded numerous medals at the most prestigious wine competitions around the world proving its outstanding quality & unique style through the years.

Due to its extraordinary blend and the unusual number of different grapes Dougos Meth'Imon 7  is often called  as Greece's Châteauneuf-du-Pape since the notorious  Appellation d' Origine Contrôlée (AOC) Châteauneuf-du-Pape  permits  a large number of different varieties of grapes  and its blend  usually includes  the reds Grenache  Cinsault, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Muscardin,  Syrah, Terret Noir and Vaccarèsewhile  the white  grapes include Grenache Blanc,  Bourboulenc, Clairette, Picardan, Roussanne and  Picpoul.

Dougos Meth'imon 7  is available at an  extremely limited number of bottles.
