Nico Lazaridi - The Black Sheep Semillon / Sauvignon Blanc

     


THE BLACK SHEEP Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc  - Protected Geographical Indication Macedonia Dry White Wine; An authentic Greek wine inspired from the New World yet made in one of the oldest wine regions in the world (the land of Dionyssus - God of Wine)!
VINICULTURE Varieties: Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc.
Vineyards: Foothills of Mount Pangeon.
Cultivation: Linear vineyards planted in average soils among the foothills of Mount Pangeon.
Harvest: End of August.
VINIFICATION Method: Skin contact method followed by fermentation at low temperature and maturation for 3 months with batonnage.
Characteristics: Bright clear gold colour with slight green highlights. Typical aromas of melon and freshly cut grass rotated on a citrus background. A rich, refreshing and exquisitely balanced taste, pleasantly sharp with an aromatic aftertaste.
Storage – Aging: Will respond to aging for up to 2-3 years after harvest.
Perfect Pairing: Served at 8-10ο C, with shellfish, lean white meats, salads with light dressing and pasta with distinctive sauces.
